Meet the Maker

I started crafting many years ago, but other commitments meant that my hobbies had to take a back seat. I decided, in 2018, to dedicate more time to doing what I love. I started selling patterns on Etsy (tashhag.etsy.com) and Ravelry, where I have sold over 7000 crochet patterns. I began teaching as a way of sharing my passion with others. I believe that creating soothes the soul and allows us to enjoy precious, healing moments of calm.

In a hectic world, full of screens and stress, crafting can be the perfect way to switch off, unplug, and focus on enrichment in the form of quiet creativity.

My teaching style is relaxed, informal, and with lots of patience and encouragement, to help even absolute beginners enjoy the journey towards creating something to be really proud of - mistakes and all!

I believe that crafting is a wonderful way to reduce stress, improve focus, increase wellbeing, and boost self esteem, while creating wonderful, whimsical pieces for yourself, or to gift to family and friends.

And remember: practice makes progress! ✨
